So much to say!

Hello.

Here’s a rundown of my experiences so far since Atlanta.

Atlanta’s show was hot. We had a great group of people show up for the show, and made a lot of new friends and fans. The Southern Bears were so supportive of our tour and our message, and we can’t thank them enough. Joel and Earl from the Amsterdam were amazing, and really showed us the true meaning of southern hospitality. If you are visiting Atlanta and need to go out and have a great time at the gay bars, please stop at the Amsterdam and tell them that the Bears On The Run sent you. Speaking of bars, also visit Blake’s in the gayborhood area. Ray, the manager/owner of Blake’s in not only a sweet man, but a cutie to boot. They rocked the house with us on Wednesday night. Their drag show was hot, and Gigi Monroe was a great hostess. We appreciate everything they did for us.

The show was great. I won’t lie, and say everything went 100% great…but for the most part, we rocked it out. The only problems that I saw were the acoustics in the room and my failed rock guitar pedal. The acoustics were great if you were within the first half of the space we were in, but the second you walked to the bar in the back of the room, it was a bit muffled. That’s why I kept encouraging people to come up and sit in the front where all the chairs were. The pedal I was going to use needed a new battery, and we didn’t even think of it until I stomped my foot on it and it went dead. Oh well, lesson learned! Overall though, we felt great about it, and we loved ATL! We hope to come back soon!

Nashville was mind BLOWING. The Rutledge really helped us make a great show happen for all of you. The sound guy (Frank, I believe) was on point and really made the sound perfect. Thanks to Freddy Freeman and his Acoustic Ensemble for opening the show! They sounded terrific. Everyone had a great time, including our female friends, the Cougars! Sideshow Bennie’s ladies were rocking out as well, and we love them for it. The crowd was super responsive and we got a ton of great feedback from people. Thanks also to Chris, Dan and Craig from driving from Knoxville to rock with us! We have a great recording of the show on video and audio, so stay tuned for that. The Rutledge was a great place for music, and really, if you are in Nashville, go and visit them and catch a live show!

Cincinnati? OMG. The Zen & Now Coffee House was a GREAT place to perform. Granted, it was small and intimate, but we really had an attentive crowd. Special props to Chris and Gary for being so sweet to us. We had a lot of bears, but also straight folks, 19 year olds who are also musicians and even Shannon’s niece and boyfriend showed up! They really enjoyed it. Please support the Zen & Now Coffee House when in Cincinnati! They whip up a mean Jasmine Green Tea Frappe! Thank you to Chris Glass who took some amazing photos. You can check out his site, wireandtwine.com and check out his photos HERE. Mikie from Chicago took some awesome photos as well, and when I get a link I will post it here.

Columbus ruled. The Tradewinds II was a great place, and the crowd was having a good time. We had a good sized crowd and once again, they all really seemed to enjoy the show. The staff at the Tradewinds was so awesome, buying us pizza for after the show, and serving up delicious cocktails and shots. The manager, Joe, was a great guy and bent over backwards to help us make the show a success! The drag show afterwards was top notch as well, with props going out to the hostess letting us judge the Halloween contest. Venus and Serna Williams won! Great to see so many faces from the Live Journal land there also.

Tomorrow we are setting sail to Cleveland, and we can’t wait to see you there!
